Following the success of the solar installation at Volac’s Port Talbot manufacturing site, Volac partnered with Shawton Energy again to install solar at its Head Office in Orwell.
The new installation is expected to reduce grid electricity usage at the site by approximately 29%, saving around 12 tonnes of CO₂e and £11,000 in energy costs annually.*
Customer Testimonial
“After the success of the Solar installation at our Port Talbot manufacturing site, it was not a difficult decision to work with Shawton again to install Solar at our Head Office in Orwell. The installation of solar panels here continues our Net Zero commitment, so it’s great to see the project come to fruition and the panels go up.
Again, the whole process has been simple and streamlined, with our Facilities Manager at Orwell telling me – ‘The site installation teams have been courteous, disciplined and followed all required safety protocols we have in place’.
Although much smaller than the Port Talbot installation, we are still looking at a reduction in site grid electricity usage of circa 29%, a reduction of circa 12T CO2e /yr and deliver annual cost savings in the region of £11,000 / year.*
If you combine this with the Port Talbot system, Shawton will have helped Volac achieve reductions of over 440mWhs, 105t CO2e & £70,000 / year from external grid electricity supply going into 2027. I would fully recommend Shawton Energy for any Solar installations you may be looking at.”
