Project Details

Food Warehouse Queensferry, Chester

Having completed the installation of an 88kW solar system at Iceland Penny Lane in Wavertree, Liverpool – as part of Shawton Energy’s multi-site partnership with Iceland – the new Food Warehouse in Queensferry was selected as the second site for install.

Maintaining uninterrupted retail operations during installation was critical, with tight timelines and the need to avoid customer disruption adding further complexity.

By going with a fully funded solution via a Power Purchase Agreement, Iceland was able to start reaping the benefits of the new Solar PV system immediately, without any upfront Capital Investment – leaving any ongoing maintenance of the system to Shawton Energy at no further cost.
