Project Details
Iceland Bretton, Peterborough
Following the successful installation of an 88kW solar system at Iceland Penny Lane in Wavertree, Liverpool, and a new Food Warehouse in Queensferry, Chester – both delivered under Shawton Energy’s multi-site partnership with Iceland – the Peterborough site was selected as the third location for implementation.
Maintaining uninterrupted retail operations during installation was critical, with tight timelines and the need to avoid customer disruption adding further complexity.
By adopting a fully funded solution via a Power Purchase Agreement, Iceland was able to benefit from the new rooftop solar PV system from day one, without any upfront capital expenditure. Under the agreement, Shawton Energy will also manage all ongoing system maintenance at no additional cost to Iceland.
