Panorama Kitchens

Panorama Kitchens was facing significant financial pressure due to soaring energy costs, with prices increasing by around 40% following the latest price cap rise. As a business focused on operational efficiency, these escalating costs threatened to impact profitability and long-term stability. At the same time, Panorama Kitchens recognised the growing demand for sustainability—both from an environmental responsibility standpoint and to align with evolving customer and industry expectations. However, the challenge was finding a cost-effective solution that could deliver substantial long-term savings without adding financial strain.

The Process

01 Clear Solar Energy Goals

To address these challenges, Panorama Kitchens opted for a fully funded 222kWp Solar PV installation through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) over 25 years. This solution enables them to generate clean, renewable energy on-site, significantly reducing their reliance on the grid and protecting against rising energy costs. With no upfront investment required, the system delivers immediate savings while supporting their long-term commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.

02 Comprehensive Site Audits

Shawton Energy carried out a comprehensive site audit, evaluating roof integrity, energy consumption patterns, and local grid connectivity. This data-driven analysis allowed them to design a tailored solar solution, optimising energy generation and maximising financial returns for the business.

03 Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance

Post-installation, Shawton Energy implemented an advanced monitoring system to track the performance of each solar installation in real-time. This proactive approach ensures that Shawton Energy can optimise energy savings and quickly address any issues that may arise.

04 Fully Funded Solar Solution with Zero Upfront Investment

Recognising the need for cost-effective energy savings, Shawton Energy provided Panorama Kitchens with a fully funded solar solution through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). This innovative approach meant that Shawton financed the entire installation, removing the need for any upfront capital investment from Panorama Kitchens.

Under the PPA, Panorama Kitchens purchases the solar power generated on-site at a fixed, lower-than-grid rate, securing immediate cost savings and long-term price stability, and protecting the business from future energy price fluctuations. This risk-free model ensures that Panorama Kitchens benefits from clean, renewable energy without financial strain, supporting both their sustainability goals and operational efficiency.

Could your business benefit from solar energy?

The Result

The Shawton Energy solar solution was successfully installed without disrupting daily operations, ensuring a

seamless transition to renewable energy. Since installation, 20% of Panorama Kitchens’ total energy consumption has been supplied by solar power, contributing to improved operational efficiency and resilience.

This significant milestone underscores their ongoing commitment to sustainability and the effectiveness of their solar energy initiative. While cost savings are still being assessed, the investment in solar energy is already delivering tangible environmental benefits. Additionally, clients have responded positively to the company’s carbon reduction efforts, strengthening its reputation as an environmentally responsible manufacturer.

Early results show that in the first month, 50% of their energy usage was generated from solar power, and the C02 emissions saved currently stand at 2,995.2kg, which is the equivalent of planting 181 trees.

” Shawton Energy delivered our solar project with expertise and professionalism from start to finish. Their team’s deep industry knowledge gave me confidence from the outset, and they clearly outlined the benefits of the installation.

Despite weather delays, communication was excellent, and we were kept informed at every stage. The contractors were professional, tidied up daily, and ensured we were involved throughout. The drone photography of our installation has been great for showcasing our sustainability efforts, impressing both clients and stakeholders.

The Solar App allows us to track our energy generation in real-time, and it’s rewarding to see our carbon footprint reduction. I highly recommend Shawton Energy—they are a 5-star company in every single aspect. “
