Daniel Stewart
Operations Director
Our Operations Director, Daniel, joined us in early 2022, bringing over two decades of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He has a strong background in designing and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and operations. Daniel is a highly skilled engineer and manager with a proven track record of successfully executing projects and programs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and delivered on time.
With extensive design and project management experience, Daniel has worked on projects ranging from small refurbishments to multi-million-pound data centres. He manages projects of any value, handling everything from initial client liaison and concept design to tendering, negotiation, full design, and build, all the way through to completion and handover.
Additionally, Daniel conducts project assessments, participates in strategic planning, and fosters collaboration within our team and network of experts, helping Shawton Energy lead the transition to net zero carbon in the UK.

Tom Wildsmith is the Commercial Director at Shawton Energy, bringing over 20 years of experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Over the past four years, Tom has focused on the renewables space - particularly solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS). He leads all commercial, procurement, and contractual operations, driving strategic growth and delivering sustainable energy solutions.

James Williams brings over 25 years of energy industry experience to his role as Sales Director at Shawton. He has advised major UK organisations — including Iceland Foods and Telehouse — on energy procurement, net zero strategy, and stakeholder engagement. At Shawton, he’s now focused on growing relationships with TPIs to help more commercial and industrial businesses access large-scale solar solutions.
