Project Details
Iceland Huntingdon
Shawton Energy completed the solar PV installation at Iceland’s Huntingdon site in just two weeks, delivering the project within a short timeframe to help minimise disruption to site operations.
Lower carbon emissions
Reduced reliance on conventionally generated power
Less environmental impact
The Process
Reliable Solar PV Delivery
The system has an installed capacity of 90.27 kWp and was designed to generate renewable electricity for use on-site. By harnessing energy from the sun, the installation provides Iceland with an additional source of electricity, helping to meet the site’s energy demands while reducing its reliance on conventionally generated power.
Meeting Net Zero Targets
Could your business benefit from solar energy?
The Result
The installation is expected to generate approximately 84,735 kWh of renewable electricity annually, providing a source of clean energy to support the site’s day-to-day operations.
By generating electricity on-site, the system is also expected to reduce carbon emissions by 18 tonnes of CO₂ each year, helping Iceland lower its environmental impact and make progress towards its sustainability objectives.
The project demonstrates how on-site solar PV can help businesses take practical steps towards a more sustainable future, combining renewable energy generation with measurable environmental benefits.
