Swift Dental
With rising energy costs and increasing emphasis on sustainability within healthcare settings, the project was designed to provide a reliable source of on-site renewable energy while supporting the practice’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact. The system enables Swift Dental to generate clean electricity directly at the point of use, improving energy resilience and helping future-proof the site against energy price volatility.

The Process
Bespoke Solar Solution
Following a detailed assessment of the practice’s energy usage, costs, and roof layout, Shawton Energy designed a tailored, turnkey solar solution. By adopting a fully funded model via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Swift Dental gained access to solar power from day one without any upfront capital expenditure. Shawton Energy also provides ongoing system maintenance at no additional cost, ensuring long-term efficiency and performance.
Non-Disruptive Installation Process
The installation team fitted 220 PV modules, creating a PV generator surface of 429.6 m² and delivering a system size of 93.48 kWp. Careful planning and coordination allowed the system to be installed within two weeks, minimising disruption to daily operations.
Could your business benefit from solar energy?
The Result
The completed rooftop solar PV system is expected to generate approximately 86,010 kWh of clean, renewable electricity each year. This will deliver annual carbon savings of around 17,602 kg, significantly reducing the practice’s environmental footprint.
Beyond environmental benefits, the installation provides Swift Dental with improved energy cost certainty and protection against future electricity price increases. By generating a substantial portion of its own electricity on- site, the practice can lower operational expenses while demonstrating clear sustainability leadership within its community.
